Seasons greeting and a very happy Diwali indeed from 0 Excuses HQ
- Here's to a great, great year ahead!

Dear Reader,

A while ago a long time reader of this email wrote to tell me that “for someone that didn’t believe in God, many of my messages contained a strong spiritual content“.

He was spot on, of course. While I’ve been a practicing atheist for as long as I can remember – the Universe – and Universal Energy – and everything related HAS always been something I have believed strongly in – and that belief is evident from a lot of the emails I send out.

And for someone that’s been called everything from a “Modern Day Gandhi” to a “Yoda” to … get this, Jesus as well (back when I had long, flowing hair down to my waist in college, and when I first moved to China) – and for someone that can be uber spiritual at times, it does come across as a surprise to a lot of people that I  do not believe in the concept of either “God” or “religion” per se.

Nothing against those that do, of course – and while I’m NOT a fan of socialism in the least – the Karl Marx quote he made about religion being the opium of the masses strikes me as being true – especially if you look at a lot of the current strife going on in the modern day world.

Anyway, this message isn’t about that.

This message is to tell  you that I’m currently in India (though not for too much longer), and being I’m in North India today, and being it’s the festival of lights (and firecrackers too in many parts of the country, hehe) – I’m not going to talk biz in this email – instead, I’ll wish you and your family a very happy Diwali.

Earlier on this year I did pretty much the same thing during Chinese Lunar New Year (I was in China at the time) – – and if just to celebrate it a bit more, I ended up creating “Eat more – Weigh Less” right there during the mayhem of the festival – and had pictures taken right there on the HILL I so love.

A few years ago, I was in Oman – right smack during the holy festival of “Id-ul-Fitr” – – and IIRC, though don’t shoot me if I’m wrong, I was wishing folks a very happy Eid on my list!

And in between, and as always, Thanksgiving and Christmas hold a special place in my heart – NOT because of my beliefs – or not – in religion, but because they’re a time (in my opinion) to cherish family – friends – and those that matter – and care about you.

And so in that vein, that’s that for today. My wife and daughter have been out for a while celebrating with gusto, and I’ll post a few pictures on the Instagram account as well for y’all to see – – so if you haven’t yet “followed” me on there – it’s time to do so NOW!

Well, my friend, that’s it for today. Have a great “Indian” new year ahead – and as we head on full blast into the holiday season as you and I know it – be prepared for great, great things to come from 0 Excuses headquarters!

Much love, and make the upcoming year the very best ever in ALL terms!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – Remember too that we’re always open for biz – 24/7/365 – and if you’re looking for the perfect “festival” gifts  –  or simply looking to complete a purchase (for those of you that haven’t over the past week) – well, now’s the time to do it – right here – – https://0excusesfitness.com/products/

“Why are your ebooks so expensive?”
- ... Its ALL about VALUE, my friend!

Dear Reader,

Well, well, well.

My last email on pull-ups seemed to have caused quite a stir indeed – – both in terms of actual ORDERS – – and those that showed up at the order page, and then never actually ordered the product.

If thats you – the System has probably sent you a reminder by now – – make sure to get your order in NOW while it’s still “sitting pretty” in the ole shopping cart, hehe.

I received a couple of inquiries about the “techniques” I advised in the last post on pull-ups – – and I’ll get to those in future emails, but for now, I received an email from a reader on my list who “thought my ebooks are too expensive and wants to know why”.

Now, this is nothing new to me, of course. A few emails ago I wrote about a reader who read my Gorilla Grip books – – and the FIRST thing he mentioned in his review (along with a lot of bitching about the price) was THIS.

This is basically a list of exercises and variations which the author claims will build grip. There is no doubt they work …

And while I could post that lengthy review here (let me know if y’all want to read it, and I will!) – the first thought that struck me was this – Dude, you’d be better off WORKING the exercises that you rightly say WORK – rather than complaining about the price!

He’s not alone, of course, and this morning I received the following from Steve, a reader on this list.

Hi Rahul,

Why are your ebooks so much more expensive than any others?

Cheers,

Steve

Now normally I’d disregard such emails – but the person asked in the right spirit – and I could feel a good vibe coming from his email, so I figured I’d answer at length.

Here goes – my response –

Hi Steve

Thanks for your message as well as your question.

Expensive is all “relative” to me. I’m not unashamed to say my products and services (basically, the info I deliver) if used correctly will deliver FAR BETTER – – and far longer lasting at that – – results than most trainees would get either training in the gym or “by their lonesome”.

When it comes to pull-ups (that last email of mine generated quite a buzz seemingly) – – those are some of the hardest exercises for folks to do … and the advice given by most personal trainers or the “bros” at the gym is so far off the mark it ain’t even funny.

If you “tally” up the gym fees – –  and consider the fact that most gym memberships are left UNUSED for the most part – – well, I don’t think you’ll think my products are that expensive.

But I’m not that interested in the money to be honest. To me, TIME is far more important. TIME, to me is MONEY … and if you tally up the TIME spent not only battling traffic etc to get to the gym after work – – not to mention the time spent IN the gym – – time that ultimately doesn’t get you the results you want – – results which you could have got for training the right way in a FRACTION of the time – -well, I don’t think my ebooks are expensive at all.

If anything, given the sheer amount of time I’ve spent in the trenches – – someone who is most definitely not “naturally gifted” or an athletic sort to begin with … and the amount of time I’ve spent learning what works – – and what doesn’t – – I’d say I’m offering my ebooks and other products for a downright STEAL!

I received a similar comment from a person who bought my “Gorilla Grip” books. He complained the product was expensive, and yet – – the FIRST thing he wrote in his review was this “There is no doubt the exercise WORK!”

If the exercises work, and work they did – – better than what he had tried before apparently – – I’d say the “price of admission” was well worth it!

Either way, I’ve been known to offer discounts on occasion – – the testimonial featured on the initial Pull-ups – –  from DUD to STUD within a matter of WEEKS was one such instance, as I could tell the person was sincerely interested in getting better at pull-ups – – which he did after all – – and bear in mind that was the INITIAL course – – WITHOUT the additions I made later on. Just think of the benefits he’d have gotten if he had got the course as it is now!

That, of course is another reason I have the 0 Excuses Ship page (this was NOT there until a year or so ago) – – where you can access ALL 0 Excuses Fitness products (current and upcoming) GRATIS – – along with input from yours truly that will move you along to your health and fitness (and indeed, life as well if you look at it a certain way) goals QUICKER than you ever imagined possible. All yours for a yearly membership fee, if you’re so inclined.

In conclusion, it’s not about the money. It’s about value – – and for what I charge, I believe and KNOW for a fact that I’m delivering value far greater than the “dollar value” you pay to access the info.

If this isn’t your cup of tea, I understand – – on the other hand, if you’re truly ready to make the quantum leap into a whole new world of health and fitness – – a world that will BENEFIT you far more than you ever imagined – – well – – I’m HERE for you too, my brother.

Let me know which road you choose to take!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

Well, my friend – that truly IS it for now. In conclusion – if price is more important to you than VALUE – well, you’re probably on the wrong page.

Feel free to unsubscribe from the list if price is the only thing you’re concerned about, as I highly doubt I’m going to be “low balling” my products anytime soon – – not around “dis neck of the woods”, at any rate, hehe.

But (and as I told Steve) – if you’re truly interested in making the QUANTUM leap into a WHOLE NEW world of health and fitness – – and getting benefits far beyond what you have been thus far – – and imagined possible – – well – – I’m right HERE for you as well!

Alright, my friend – that is it for now. Happy Diwali to all you readers out there as well – ’tis the festival of lights out there today – – and I better go get in a quick workout before the firecrackers start, hehe.

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – By the way, for those of you that believe the products are “too expensive” – well, that is precisely the reason I set up the 0 Excuses Fitness SHIP page. An “inner circle” of sorts where you not only get access to ALL my products – GRATIS – both future and current products – but you also have access to yours truly, as well as OTHERS truly interested in taking that quantum leap I spoke about. The Ship delivers value that is truly PRICELESS, my friend. If I were to put a dollar tag on all of it, I’d probably go upwards of $2000 or more – but I’m not – for now.  You can sign up for far less than that – and do it right here – http://0excusesfitness.com/groups/0-excuses-ship/

P.S #2 – We also have compilations for a few of our products (good news for those of  you that fall into the “price comparison” bracket) – – check ’em out at the products page right HERE – – https://0excusesfitness.com/products/

Legs and pull-ups
- How you position your legs DOES make a difference!

Dear Reader,

Just got done with a smashing “pre-festival of lights” workout here in Northern India – accomplished entirely in the dark in a park on my lonesome.

Or “by” my lonesome, I should say, hehe. I had myself, a straggler or two – and THICK, thick bars for company – and believe me now and trust me later, it was one of the best ones in recent times.

Thats a tip right there – a very important tip to getting better at not just pull-ups – but building a rock solid GRIP as well – and one covered in the Gorilla Grip compliation, but for now – back to “legs and pull-ups”.

In “Pull-ups from Dud to STUD – within a matter of WEEKS” I went into the right technique of doing pull-ups and covered the right way of doing them.

I’ve given you the exact technique on how to do ’em and have BROKEN the technique down “step by step” so that even a rank beginner can understand and progress in this excellent, excellent exercise – and truth be told, many a beginner HAS gone on to achieve “stud” level at pull-ups after implementing what I’ve told you in this course.

But what I’ve covered in the first course is just the tip of the iceberg, my friend.

In that book I told you that correct form for pull-ups entails keeping your ankles crossed as it “traditionally” taught – – so your legs form a “V” with the rest of your body – – and truth be told, this is precisely how a beginner (or even someone at intermediate level) at pull-ups should START off.

However, would you believe it that leg positioning can – and DOES – increase the difficulty of the pull-up and – IS – a hidden key to improving at this exercise?

Most of y’all reading this will nod and go “Yes”. He BE talking about “L-sit pull-ups” – or hanging leg raises, and while yes, these are excellent and advanced variations on the pull-up that isn’t what I’m talking about.

I’m talking about a style of pull-up that has the legs positioned such that your BUTTOCKS and CORE are taxed at a far, far greater level than in the regular pull-up.

A style of leg positioning that truly builds the base for something SUPERLATIVE when it comes to improving at pull-ups.

And a style of leg positioning that used to be a staple in old time strongman training – as well as in the military, but has, like many other excellent exercises and exercise variations of yore somehow lost favor – and has been replaced by the “easier” variant of the exercise.

You’ll have to crack open “Pull-ups – from STUD to SUPER STUD” to learn what this variant is – and believe me, if you’re looking to take your pull-ups to the next level – then THIS course – and all the different style of pull-ups mentioned therein are an absolute must to MASTER, my friend.

You might never get to mastery at all of them, or even one, of course, but the sheer process of getting there will build a solid base that few other exercise combos can when it comes to packing on lumps of muscle quickly onto your upper body – – and also – – hold on to your HATS – – give you a pretty good cardio workout with nothing other than pull-ups and the odd pushing movement (if you so choose).

Yes, that’s right – cardio with pull-ups.

And for the “Shirley Maclaine” types amongst you – I’ve even included a variant on the pull-up that might just have you “meditating” mid – pull-up – – and lest you think I’ve gone off my rocker here – – no I haven’t.

Crack open the book – and you’ll see what I mean!

Anyway, that’s it for now. My arms are still zinging, and I’m off for some R&R now!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – By the way, if you’re sick of getting nowhere at the gym – or the pavement – with them extended cardio sessions then we’ve got just the thing for you right here – – a course that will literally allow you to EAT less – – and weigh MORE – – while getting your cardio in IN record, record times – with PROOF included, hehe. Surround yourself – with the right people!
- ... More on the importance of a fitness mastermind ...

Dear Reader,

Way, way back in the day yours truly was a callow 17 year old – who though he was interested in health, fitness and strength, got the absolute worst information in that regard at an age he didn’t know better.

He got advice along the lines of “lifting light dumbells” endlessly to “improve strength and stamina”, and somehow, “build muscle”.

He got some advice along the lines of “run for 15 minutes a day” to resemble the wrestlers he so “admired” (yes, I was a huge WWE junkie back in the day!).

He wanted to participate in sports – soccer being one of them, but was roundly “chastised” for “thinking he’s so strong” and of course pushed into doing the one thing he DID NOT want to do – that being too immerse himself in the worlds of Physics, Chemistry, Geography, and everything else they had us do in school back then.

Curiously enough the one thing he DID enjoy on that front – Math – was never really lauded as being something he should “get into” for the future. . . And when he spoke about “History”?

Well, that was for girls, doncha know? “There’s no jobs in it!”

And so forth.

So I bet you’ve figured out who the young laddie in the part above is – at least, those of you that have been on this list a while probably have!

This young laddie chose “Physical Education” as a field of study in the 12th grade.

Come the day when it was time to be “tested” – he had to throw a shot put a certain distance, and run a certain distance – both activities he “thought” he could do – but failed miserably at.

I still remember the SORE muscles after that run – and the comments my teacher at the time made.

“Girls can throw that further than you,  Rahul!”

Inwardly I seethed – but I still had NO idea how to build the strength and muscle I so desperately craved – and I certainly had nothing but useless advice on how to do in that regard as well – from folks that were themselves and still are the FARTHEST thing from being fit that you might imagine.

Never take sex advice from an eunuch – or learn “how to grow hair” from a bald “boy” (as they say in mainland China, hehe – everyone is “boy” there!) – or advice on fitness from someone who has never been fit himself or herself.

Many years later, I was introduced to the Hill – a story most of the old bunch on this list should be very familiar with, and a story the newbies can learn about right here.

And though I felt like a Mack truck ran over me the next day and for a few days later – and though I could still hear the giggles of the girls on the hill as I attempted to slog up that thing – I got the ONE piece of advice from my then girlfriend which stuck me with my entire life – and literally CHANGED my life.

Long story short, I started to climb that hill DAILY – and kept doing it – and the turnaround was nothing short of miraculous after that – and Ann Lee, if you’re reading this – my hats off to you – there would be NO “Fast and Furious Fitness” – or 0 Excuses Fitness – or the rest of the products – without that comment you made.

Thanks for brushing past all the objections I had in terms of “why I couldn’t climb daily”, or the weather – or the beer I drank the night before – or the fight I had with … Ah, but we’ll stop there! Hehe.

And that brings me to the central point of this email.

It’s often been said that you are the sum of the 5 (or perhaps 3) people you spend the most time with, and seldom were truer words spoken.

Surround yourself with the RIGHT people – people that KNOW what they’re talking about and KNOW what to do in order to achieve a goal – and you’ll find yourself achieving goals almost “effortlessly”.

Surround yourself with buffoons on the other hand, and you’ll achieve results along similar lines. I had no choice back in the day – but I certainly did at the age of 23 – and I’ll be forever grateful to both China and a certain “Ann Lee” for that.

Napoleon Hill speaks about the importance of a master mind group in his pathbreaking book Think and Grow Rich – – possibly the MOST important principle in the entire book, and possible the most ignored.

As he correctly states, when two or more minds are perfectly aligned and attuned for the purpose of achieving a certain goal – then BOTH minds operate on a higher plane.

BOTH minds tap into each other’s consciousness for ideas and inspiration – and BOTH open their minds to receiving input from Infinite knowledge – or the Universe, in other words.

And the more operating in tandem, the better.

And the SAME thing applies to fitness, my friend.

Now truth be told, creating a MasterMind group is anything but “easy”.

It’s of vital importance to make sure that ALL minds in the group are operating on the same wavelength – and that EVERYONE is attuned to the same goal mentally – else you might just take several steps backward instead of forward!!

And being it’s not often easy to find folks that are attuned to and in my line with my current biz goals, I often “create” the Mastermind in my mind – until I can find the right people to work with on a particular set of goals.

The above may sound esoteric, and I’ll get into it later – – but for now, rest assured that if you’re looking for like minded people in terms of fitness – – well, the very best place indeed to participate in that regard is the 0 Excuses SHIP, my friend.

In there you’ll find members that are ON the same wavelength as you are – including yours truly.

You’ll find ALL our products available – – GRATIS. That’s right – – all yours – – including future products – – for ONE yearly fee.

You’ll have access to information I’m not going to be putting out in these newsletters/emails – info that quite literally has the potential to change your life both fitness wise and LIFE wise.

And much, much more.

More on the Eye of the Tiger!
- Maintain those ferocity levels no matter WHAT!

A few weeks ago, I spoke about having the Eye of the Tiger – and why this is so vitally important to success in any endeavor – anything that MEANS something to you.

That post is well worth a read – and a re-read – and then some – and today I’ll talk a bit more about that.

In the movie Rocky III, you see a “successful” Rocky sitting in his mansion arguing with his manager about why “ole Micky” won’t train him for the upcoming fight against the uber aggressive “Clubber Lang” (Mr. T – and if you’ve seen that montage of him training in the movie, and haven’t been inspired to jump off the couch and go train yourself – well – I don’t  know WHAT will inspire you in that regard!).

And after a lot of cajoling, and determined questioning by the champ, who can’t figure out what is so special about Clubber, Mickey tells Rocky the reason he isn’t training him is because Rocky “doesn’t have it any more”.

“He’s just another fighter”, Rocky responds, a touch petulantly, and certainly a touch too “overconfident” too if you get my drift, and if you see the movie, you’ll know what I mean.

No he ain’t just another fighter!!“, yells Mickey back with sheer conviction that pauses Rocky in his tracks.

“The other guys you fought were good fighters – but this guy – he’s a killer! He’ll  knock you into tomorrow, Rocky!”

And then he drives the point home even more relentlessly.

“This guy is HUNGRY! Hell you ain’t been hungry since you won that title!”

And then Rocky asks him if the previous fights were setups and Mickey responds in the negative.

“No they werent setups – – they was good fighters, but they weren’t THIS guy!” – and again, if you see the look in Mr T’s eyes in the movie, you’ll know exactly what I BE talking about here, hehe.

He goes on to state that Rocky was wild – DETERMINED – and had that X factor when AIMING for the title, but once fame, riches – and MARRIAGE came about, well, he “got civilized”, as Mickey put it.

In other words, he LOST the eye of the tiger – the very thing that had made him so successful in the first two bouts he had with Creed.

And I should know, my friend.

If I look back at the times (such as now) that I was the fittest I’ve ever been – the leanest – the MEANEST – and in the sort of shape that caused people to tell me “You’re in excellent shape! I didn’t even hear you breathing!”  – it was always when I was SINGULARLY focused on my fitness goals to the EXCEPTION of all else!

When I was unfit – or otherwise unable to accomplish what I wanted, it always boiled down to lack of focus and related “annoyances”.

And often times, it was when I was with family – or had other pressing engagements – or had, like I said, other “things” that were keeping me from achieving that SINGLE minded focus I was after in terms of my goals.

It has always been China – that one country that has been kind to me in many regards where I’ve done MOST of my writing – created most, if not all of my products – and got the fittest I’ve ever been – and there is a reason for that.

Anyway, why do I say this again?

Well, simply this – a lot of times those of us that are married – or perhaps living with “partners” somehow end up losing focus on what is important – and maintaining that laser sharp focus.

In terms of fitness, you “give in” to the temptations to eat that chocolate cake your partner baked last night.

Or perhaps the temptation to sleep in and FORGET your workout for the day. After all, you’re too tired. After all, you need to “spend quality time with your partner”.

In terms of goals, you “put off” the work you had to do today with regard to that goal. If it was a writing goal, you figure you’ll “just do it tomorrow”.

After all, the honey do’s – and the kids – and the emails – and the T.V. – and everything else in between is clamoring for your attention too!

And so forth. There is a reason, my friends, as to why I did not have a T.V. in China and don’t right now at the house I’m in.

While that decision hasn’t been a popular one with my family, it’s allowed me to focus much more than I could or would if I had a TV blaring all day long in the background.

Now, being married – or “civilized” – or having kids – or other duties isn’t a bad thing at all. Life shouldn’t be all about training (unless you’re Clubber Lang looking to win the prized Championship Title, of course) – training should be about enhancing your life!

But here’s the point – to maintain those laser sharp, razor like levels of fitness and strength, you’ll have to workout accordingly.

For those of you that are married, it means you become a “single dog” during your workouts. For those with tons of other pressing stuff to do, it means you “move to another planet” during your workout. And so forth.

Whatever it is – it can WAIT for the duration of your workout. When you workout, you WORKOUT – and do, or THINK of nothing else at all!

You maintain the eye of the tiger – and while you might or might not choose to become civilized at the end of it all, and indeed even before it, those times when you workout are when you unleash the inner beast within you – the inner TIGER as it were.

You approach each workout as if it were the LAST.

You do each pull-up with UNBRIDLED ferocity – and always aim for higher!

You complete each sprint – and then are RARING to go again!

And so forth. Key takeaway from this email is this – and it’s not just related to fitness – it’s related to ANY GOAL you pursue – MAINTAIN the eye of the tiger, my friend.

Don’t just maintain it – nurture it. Keep the fire burning within. Don’t brook no excuses. Keep GOING and keep a “blast past all obstacles” attitude as you did in your hey day – when you were raring to go after any goal!

Adopt this attitude when working out, and you’ll soon see your gains skyrocket past your wildest imaginations, my friend.

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – And if you don’t have the pathbreaking System that’ll motivate and INSPIRE you to do more – make something of yourself – something better – then grab the 0 Excuses Fitness System right NOW – right here – https://0excusesfitness.com/0excusesfitnessystem/

An important limiting factor when doing pull-ups
- And it is likely NOT what you thought ...

Pull-ups, my dear reader, are by far and without exception some of the toughest exercises for not just every day adults to do – but seasoned athletes as well.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a Crossfitter, for instance, who can regularly pound out 100 plus PERFECT pull-ups in each workout – and do so day after day, week after week, month after month – year after year.

Not saying they don’t exist, of course, but they’re certainly in the minority!

Anyway, pull-ups are also and without exception ONE of the best exercises out there, bar none – and therefore ’tis but normal for most trainees to have QUESTIONS regarding this superlative exercise, and how to improve – and of course, what BE the limiting factors for most people in terms of not being able to exceed a certain number of repetitions in the pull-ups.

When you ask most people that last question, most of them respond with one of the following –

  1. Lack of overall upper body strength
  2. Weak lats and upper back
  3. A weak grip (this one is quite common)
  4. Not enough curls with the bros to “build” the biceps, supposedly the most important muscle when it comes to pull-ups – yes –  you hear this quite often too!!
  5. A combo of the above, or something similar.

And truth  be told, all of these aren’t necessarily the wrong answer either – even #4 for some part.

But here’s the point, and something most people miss.

What if I told you the limiting factor for most people when it comes to pull-ups – along with a weak grip – was lack of strength (or pulling strength) in – get this – the TRICEPS

Most people look at me as if I’m nuts when I say this – and chances are you are too.

But hang on. Just in case you don’t think the triceps work, and work OVERTIME when doing pull-ups – make a fist in the air – extend your arm up, and “pull the air” down.

As you do so, feel your tricep. It’s working, aint it?!

It’s amazing, but this rudimentary fact is not only ignored – – but pooh poohed by most trainees – most of whom prefer to say that the “biceps” (the show muscle, and by far NOT the largest muscle or even the strongest in your upper arms) are what really get the job done.

Yes, the biceps are USED – but only towards the top of the pull-up. It’s really your grip and triceps (along with lats) that power you both UP – and DOWN – during the movement if done correctly!

And the ONE exercise and its variants that I recommend to most people to get good at – excellent at to build the triceps is often also ridiculed – that being the pushup.

Yes, you heard me!

There is a damned good reason I included certain forms of pushups in the Supplementary Exercises section of “Pull-ups – from DUD to STUD within a matter of WEEKS“, my friend.

And the reason is this – while visualization, focus and relentless repetition were all keys to getting my own pull-up numbers to the lofty peaks they are at now, I was really only able to blast past sticking points once I got good at the pushups – especially those mentioned in the book.

In fact, there were entire months I dedicated to getting better simply at these variants!

In the 0 Excuses Fitness System I repeatedly tell you that pushups are the best overall exercise you can do, and with GOOD reason.

I’ve also said in the past that while pull-ups are a great great exercise, they aren’t REQUIRED – and again, with good reason!

Pushups my friend are the complete workout – and the best way to strengthen your entire upper body like NO other exercise can – especially if we’re talking all the different variants youc an do.

And in terms of cardio?? Heck, once you get to the point you’re pounding out 500 plus pushups a day in around 40 minutes or so, you wont NEED any more cardio – and the videos in the System are but proof of this FACT!

And if you don’t believe me there – well, look at the one exercise that is a staple in most strongmen’s routines – as well as boxers – wrestlers – the military (especially elite forces) – and so forth.

All these rugged professionals have the PUSHUP as the mainstay of their routines!

Sure, they do pull-ups – and handstands – and dips – and other stuff but the mainstay is always the pushup!

I don’t care if you’re talking the Great Gama of India, who went undefeated in a bazillion or so wrestling bouts – or Iron Mike Tyson – or even Herschel Walker, the 53 year old plus walking PHENOM – they ALL have the pushup as a mainstay  of their routine!

And ’tis but a fact, my friend – if you want to get better at pull-ups – work on dem triceps – and work on them pushups as well.

Do so diligently for a month or so. Don’t even work the pull-ups during that period.

And once you get to a certain level at pushups – especially those mentioned in “Pull-ups – from Dud to STUD within a matter of weeks! ” go back and test yourself on pull-ups.

I bet you my bottom dollar – or RMB – you’ll be nigh surprised – and in a good way!

P.S. – If you enjoy motivational fitness tips like this one, we’ve got a world of them for you in our “Fitness Central” series. I’m working on a compilation as we speak, but for now, we just released Volume#3 in the series – you can grab it right here – https://0excusesfitness.com/fitness-central-volume-3/

On trying to get “something for nothing”
- There truly is NO such thing!

Dear Reader,

Something I’ve written about extensively in the past is the value of  (and indeed, the necessity of “giving before receiving”).

Napoleon Hill wrote about this a lot in his bestselling books and manuals, most notably in Think and Grow Rich and it’s true, my friend. You give before you receive, and the more you give, the more you ultimately receive.

It holds true for fitness – or biz – or relationships – or life in general, and if there is any area of life where “lack” seems to be paramount right about now, chances are good and second to none that “not giving enough” or giving for the wrong reasons is one of them.

And I’ll talk about another of those reasons today – that being trying to get something – for nothing.

Sadly, although the very term “something for nothing” would appear to indicate there is no such thing – and although common sense would as well, the vast majority of folks out there are engaged in precisely this – that being to get something for nothing.

We see this in fitness all the time. Person (let’s call him A) starts out on an exercise program full of good intentions – ready to drop the excess 25 kgs he’s been carrying around – or perhaps ready to start cranking out a 100 pushups a day – or going for long walks a day.

Whatever it is, he invests in an exercise program – perhaps even the System – and he’s all happy about it, as he should be.

But then it comes time to actually DO the thing.

As I’ve said many a times before, visualization and feeling good are important indeed, but the rubber only really meets the road when you get down to brass tacks and start DOING – and in terms of fitness, this is where most people fail miserably.

Just look at the average person buying a gym membership, for instance. It’s rare that the person actually attends the gym for even close to half the term that he or she has paid for – and of course, the gyms know this too!

Or lets say the person invests in the System.

The System tells you to do something daily without fail.

Person A does this for a few days, then “gets bored” of it, and pops on over to some other “latest” exercise System and tries that.

Then he tries something else. And all the while he’s really not getting better at any of the Systems he’s tried – and isn’t getting better or even trying to get better at the exercises.

And at the end of the month he sees he’s made nil progress, and done nothing but waste time – and promptly declares “all fitness gurus are a waste of time! They dont know what they are talking about!”

And he’s back to square zero, minus of course the time and effort he “invested” into wasting it!

And if this scenarios sounds familiar, well, you’re not alone. The above was a case of trying to get fit without GIVING.

Without doing the thing – and keeping at it long enough to want results – and in our dumb phone crazed instant gratification society, that is what most people want as well.

And this sort of thing doesn’t just extend to fitness either.  Let’s take for instance this list – there are quite a few folks on the list who have signed up “just to get the free tips” – and while that is all fine and dandy, remember that you never truly GET without giving first.

If you truly want to get fit, staying on the list is a great thing indeed – – but staying on the list and not getting a product is counter productive. And if your eventual goal was to get fit – and get fit the BEST and QUICKEST way, then simply getting the free tips just won’t cut it, my friend.

Now note that yours truly could care less about this.

If someone is happy enough to stay on the fence, and never take the plunge towards improving one’s life greatly as one should – then that’s fine by me.

That’s perfectly fine – but remember this – it won’t move you closer along the path towards your goals – that is for sure.

Ditto for the clamors on the Internet for “free ebooks” or “free manuals” or “free” information … and so forth.

And on that note, if there’s ONE thing that I don’t understand about people  – it’s those complaining about high prices and the like.

A reader of my Gorilla Grip series wrote last year that “the exercise truly work”, but that “the book was too expensive”.

Huh?? Too expensive? Information that one has spent YEARS working upon and collecting – and then putting together into an easy to read format – – is too expensive?

$17 or thereabouts is too expensive for someone that claims they truly want to build a spectacular grip for the ages?

Well I’m sorry – but this person is either not serious enough – or he’s flat out NUTS. At that price, the book is a steal if anything else – and so is most of the rest of the stuff offered on the 0 Excuses Fitness Site.

In his book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill states repeatedly that the “secret” to true success in ANY endeavor cannot be found – at ANY cost – and curiously enough, or not, even if the author were to TELL you what it is in plain English – without first “paying the price”.

As Hill correctly notes in his Laws of Success manual,

There is no such thing as something for nothing!

And the quicker you understand that – the sooner you’ll be on the road to ACCOMPLISHMENT – either life wise, or fitness wise.

Other hand, if you’re content to be part of the “herd” and NOT reach out to be a SUPER achiever and join the ranks of a select few – well, guess what – you’ll hear no complaint from me in that regard as well!

I’ll actually help you out in that case too.

How, you ask?

Well, there is a FREE giveaway of sorts I’ll alert you to – and it’s on this page right here – http://www.bodybuilding-programs.net/free-fitness-gifts.html.

You’ll find various fitness guys on that page – including yours truly, hehe, – offering you the chance to get some FREEE stuff – – and while I can’t vouch for the “bodybuilders” (or for what is being offered on that page, for that matter), there DOES appear to be some good stuff there.

Of course, that doesn’t negate the value of what I just told you above – for FREE, again.

Signing up for a list won’t cut it. You have to commit – – and take the plunge, but again – that is a choice only you can make!

All I can do is give you the link – and  NO, I do NOT get paid a cent if you sign up (or don’t) for any of the lists. I’m simply doing it to give YOU more options for free stuff (for those that want it) – here is that link again – http://www.bodybuilding-programs.net/free-fitness-gifts.html.

Ok, my friend. That is IT for today!  I’ll be back again later.

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – Often times folks get pissed off at me for saying things the way I do. It’s a well known saying that the nail that sticks out gets hammered the first and the hardest – but hey, if saying it like it is – and calling a spade a spade annoys some fine folks, then thats just too bad – and that is just how it’s going to be. And if this particular email hits home in terms of fitness for you, the reader – and if you’re part of the group that realizes that getting down to BRASS TACKS is really what “rocks the boat” – – then the first step to ACTION is ordering the 0 Excuses Fitness System – – right here — https://0excusesfitness.com/0excusesfitnessystem/
